When Phil Giriodi was just a boy, he knew exactly what he wanted to do: he wanted to get out of his small town and become a photojournalist, traveling the world and experiencing everything he could. And he did just that.
Breakfast in Paris, Lunch in Rome, Dinner in London: Reflections in the eye of a Photojournalist is filled with the author's observations of events, and perceptive insights into the people who passed through his viewfinder. It is a book filled with stories of erupting volcanoes, riots, the Pope and celebrities, ancient cliff dwellers, and the world of the homeless and drug addicts. Giriodi describes his adventures swimming with whales and dolphins, encounntering evil, traveling with Presidents, standing alone on a snow-capped peak, and flying into the eye of a hurrcane. Nearly 200 stories and events filled with humor, pathos, adventures and a personal loss. A very readable and fun account of a lifetime spent fulfilling a boyhood dream to become a photojournalist.
